Lüneburg (German: [ˈlyːnəbʊʁk]; ; Latin: Luneburgum or ; ; ; Polabian: ), officially the Hanseatic City of Lüneburg (German: Hansestadt Lüneburg) and also known in English as Lunenburg (English: /ˈnənbg/ ), is a town in the German state of Lower Saxony.
